Happy New Year!!

Have you made any resolutions? I decided this year to give the resolutions a miss and just be happy in what I do achieve throughout the year.

I would like to say I will be a better blogger again, but we are in the process of moving house, so that probably won't occur until next month.

What I can do is start the New Year off by showing you the gorgeous January kits that are now available for purchase from Lime Tart.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas is approaching fast!

I am normally more organised when it comes to presents and things, but this year I think it will be a bit of a mad rush.

The one thing I did want to achieve before Christmas this year was to make my Kaisercraft star wreath.

It has been sitting and waiting for a very long time to be made, and for the last few Christmases I have vowed to make it.

So I finally got motivated on the weekend and put it together.

Here is the end result

I didn't want to use the traditional red, green and white for my wreath, so I went with whites, creams and greys instead.

The papers are from Delish Designs Dulwich collection along with some gorgeous flocked paper.

I painted a few chipboard stars white and covered them in glitter glue. I also die cut a few little snowflakes from pearl paper to sprinkle around the place.

I had some Pink Paislee Parisian Element brackets sitting on my desk, so I had to find a place for them on my wreath.

I used cotton gauze all over and around the wreath and added it as a bow for a finishing touch..

I hope you like my little Christmas Wreath.

I had forgotten how fun it was to make OTP projects.

Who knows I might even do some more in the near future.

I have had so many things going on in the background and life can just get a little bit hectic.

Tiddly Inks Tuesday

Another Tuesday has rolled around, which means it is time for the next Tiddly Inks Challenge.

This week the challenge is:

Boys will be boys- Snake, snails and puppy dog tails.

I struggled to say the very least.

It took all my might to create a boy card and not use pretty things.

You may notice though that I couldn't resist using my liquid pearls, but they were blue so I told myself it was okay lol.

For this card I used Hi There-Boy and Steampunk Papers - Extra Goodies.

Getting Crafty

I have been collecting Make It Crafty digital stamps for a little while now, but I have never actually gotten around to colouring them...until today.

I was feeling inspired and decided to make this card to celebrate Zoe's birthday.

The card uses both the Petals and Palings and Zoe Celebrates digital stamps.

Green and pink is my favourite colour combo at the moment again, I have reached for them a few times in the last week.

It was just a quick share today, I have a pile of other things I need to be doing.

Tiddly Inks Tuesday

Hi everyone and welcome to another episode of Tiddly Inks Tuesday.

This week there is another fabulous challenge on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

What is it you may ask!! It is simple really, you have to use clear acrylic somewhere on your card or creation.

Think clear acrylic card, acrylic albums, even shrinky dinks count.

Here is what I cam up with using a square of clear acrylic, which I think may have been the front of an album.

I really wish I would have taken step by step photos, because I love the way this turned out.

I covered the clear acrylic with alcohol ink to create that gorgeous mottled effect. I then backed the acrylic with book print and sponged around the edges with white paint to give it a frosted feel.

I then added all those beautiful embellishments, and of course the focus point of my project using the delightful Tiddly Inks image You and Me.

I thought that while I had a spare five minutes I would share this card with you.

The stamp is Ching chou kuik's The Lost Princess from Sweet Pea Stamps.

I will be honest with you and say that I wasn't completely happy with how the card turned out, although I really do love the stamp.

Speaking of the stamp it can be purchased on its own or together with three other equally beautiful stamps on Ching chou kuik's sheet #34, Plate #129.

Which I why I had to colour Joanne Schempp's Daisy Fairy from Sweet Pea Stamps.

I added some extra foliage to the background rather than using a lot of patterned paper.

Hello again.

Welcome to another Tiddly Tuesday.

This week on the challenge blog you are asked to create a thankyou card for.....a teacher.

Teachers play an enormous role in our children's lives, and I am sure that sometimes this could be a tough task. I struggle with my two girls, let alone taming a class full of kiddies.

My daughter adores her Year 1 teacher, so I decided to make this very special card for her.

This card uses the cute little Versa Bugg, which can be found here, or in this fantastic Bugg Mega Pack.

I coloured this little Bugg with brown hair just like Miss Kayla, and also with a green dress, matching her uniform.

The card is made using a the Apple template from My Scrap Chick. I am loving shaped cards lately!!

Oh la la is all I can say about the Lime Tart August Kits.

The Full Tart is brimming with beautiful colours. The Authentique papers are an absolute super-star in this kit.

Tiddly Inks Tuesday

Welcome to another Tiddly Inks Tuesday.

Boy oh boy the weeks are just flying past aren't they!! Before we know it the year will be gone, and it will be Christmas time.

Maybe I shouldn't get too far ahead of myself and just worry about this week :)

What is this weeks Tiddly Inks challenge you may ask?

Well your challenge if you choose to accept it, is to create a jumbo tag or use a ticket somewhere on your creation. Too easy!!!

Here is my jumbo tag using You Are On My Mind.

The pink hair was inspired by one of my daughter's La La Loopsy dolls, which we played with a lot while they were on school holidays. They are funny little dolls, but my girls just adore them.

I can't wait to see what wonderful creations you come up with this week. I know all of us Tiddly Inkers love looking at you cards!!

Time to share another Sweet Pea Stamps creation.

This card uses the stunning Rachel Anderson's Amanita Muscaria.

I adore the frame around the image. It gives it such an elegance.

The background has been done with distress ink- tattered rose and walnut stain from memory.

The papers are scraps from my Lime Tart November Kit. It was such a beautiful kit (they always are), that I just had to pull the last of the papers out again.

Today's the day!!!!

I am so excited, are you?

Today is the joint release from Tiddly Inks and Make it Crafty. Two great sets of stamps, one great release!!

Prepare to be blown away by some absolutely amazing Steampunk and Victorian images. Not to mention some phenomenal creations by both teams.

Here is my sample for this huge release.

I used Tiddly Inks new Precious image along with the Make It Crafty Clockworks House.

Don't they look fabulous together.

Perfect characters and perfect backgrounds, what more could you want!

That is this weeks challenge over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

You have to create a card based on a scary or summer movie!!

Now I am a bit of a sook, and I really don't like scary movies. But that didn't stop me from being inspired by the scary movie What Lies Beneath for this weeks challenge.

The whole bath scene freaked me out (lol I did say I was a sook).

Tiddly Hello

Welcome to another Tiddly Tuesday.

For those of you on the South-east coast of Australia, I hope you have managed to stay warm and out of the wind.

We have some big bay windows at the back of our house, and listening to them rattle last night with the wind made me very uneasy. Then again everything sounds worse and scarier at night. I am such a sook lol.

While it is still freezing and windy today, it is a good opportunity to catch up on crafty projects.

This is a little Tiddly Inks creation I have made.

This sweet little image is called Catch my Heart.

Those cute flowers in the background are also a Tiddly Inks digi that I have printed directly onto cardstock. It is the Flower Garden digital stamp and it also comes with some digital papers as well.

There are so many exciting things going on over at Tiddly Inks at the moment.

Challenges resumed this week. This weeks challenge is ATTITUDE. Think skulls and bad to the bone. If you want to participate head over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog to find out more.

Also some very exciting news!

This is Lilli Claire-Bloom little lilly.

Recently I have found a renewed love for my Pazzles cutting machine. So I have been using it a lot.

This card was cut using my machine and the Sweet Cupcake Card from My Scrap Chick.

Lilli Claire looks so cute sitting up on top of that yummy cupcake...mmmmm cupcake!

Hi everyone.

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. It was a nice morning here, but the temperature has dropped this afternoon. I thought I would do some sewing, but alas my machine does not want to play nice. So I have pulled out my markers and done some colouring instead.

How free and happy does this little girl look.

It is a Samantha Rawling's image from Sweet Pea Stamps.

I have masked the image and used distress ink for the background (weathered wood from memory).

New Lime Tart Kits!

I am a bit late with this post, but the June Lime Tart kits were released on the first of this month. They are packed full of lovely things. The Half Tart and A la Tarte have already sold out!! I am not surprised though, all of the kits were fantastic. You still have a chance to grab the Full Tart, but you had better be quick if you want one!

I have been playing with the Half Tart this month. I adore all of the gorgeous tones in this kit. At first I thought it would be more suited to boys, but I have quickly discovered that the papers are perfect for my little girls.

I recently received another package of Sweet Pea Stamps. I love when these little envelopes of happy mail arrive, because I know I will be immediately inspired to colour something. This was certainly the case with this gorgeous Karen Middleton image.

I think my new favourite colour combo is green and pink going off my last two cards. I will have to mix it up next time lol.

Hi again.

I am back today to share another Tiddly Inks creation. There are so many cute and enchanting fairies to choose from as you browse the Tiddly Inks shop, but I simply could not resist this little beauty.

The name of this delightful image is Cast Your Spell. As this was a magical image I decided it needed a bit of fairy dust...(aka glitter). This idea was inspired by the delightful Christy Croll's sample, which you will see when you visit the image in the shop.

Please welcome my new and totally adorable little niece Hayley Grace.

A huge congratulations to my big sis Cass, Captain Curt and the new big sister Ella.

Isn't she precious!!

I decided I wanted to make little Hayley something special, so I made this cute little jumpsuit for her using my Copic markers.
I have seen a few of these Copic coloured onesies around the internet, so just had to try making one for this special little girl.

I posted a step-by-step, materials and a few quick tips on how I made this jumpsuit on the Lime Tart Blog. Don't you you just love the Stripes the Zebra image from Kraftin' Kimmie, it was perfect for a little baby.

Not wanting to stop at just one creation I had to make this little shirt for Miss Em as well.

Well I am off to look at the photos of my precious little niece some more. It is times like these when I wished we lived closer, so I could go and have a cuddle.

Manly Men...that is this weeks challenge over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog. So celebrate the men in our lives by creating a card using a Tiddly Inks image.

I will be honest and admit that I struggled a bit with this challenge because I don't really make male cards. I am not sure why. Hmmm something to think about. I guess everything I do is very girly because I have been blessed with two little princesses. So I tried to the best of my abilities to pull together a male card and this is what I came up with.

In this card I used Take A Stand and added my own words to the signs using Photoshop....gotta love digi images!

Hi everyone.

Thank you for dropping by my little space in blog land. I come today with one of my latest Sweet Pea Stamps creations.

This gorgeous girl is an Elaine Cox image called Mirima. It was something new for me to colour an image where the focus was just the face. So I went to my Lime Tart Copic Club folder for some tips and guidance. Her hair probably took the most time, but it is the part I love most about this image. I can't wait now to play with the rest of the images that came on this sheet.

It is that time of the month again when the Lime Tart Gallery is filled with wonderful new projects!!

She Art workshop...it's good to get messy

Hi everyone

I am a little bit excited tonight. Today I started and finished my first canvas from the She Art Workshop.

I have absolutely loved watching the first week of videos and tutorials from Christy Tomlinson, and had even more fun creating. So much so that I couldn't even wait to take a photo of my canvas in the morning...so I apologize for the dodgy lighting. I will update with better photos and close-ups tomorrow :)

So please meet my first girl....I am pretty happy with my first attempt.

I had soooo much fun creating this canvas. There were no rules, it was just pure messy fun and I loved every minute of it. Once I started I couldn't stop lol. I am thinking I will watch the next lot of videos tomorrow, so no doubt there will be a new girl by the end of the weekend.

No rest for the wicked...or so they say.

I have been busy, busy, busy.

I have been working on my absolutely delightful Half Tart from Lime Tart.

Here is a little sneak peek of on layout I have made..all will be revealed soon.

I have also been working on a couple of little sewing projects, which I am hoping to finish off today. I will pop some piccies up when they are completed. I have signed up for a mixed media class, which starts today...yay!! I have made some little (last minute..in fact still drying) Easter gifts for Miss Emily's Preschool teachers.

Our little athlete

Just had to pop on today with a quick share.

Kayla particpated in her first athletics carnival today. I am so glad that I found the time to go and watch her, she had an absolute blast.

Because she is only in Year 1 it was more just fun activities, and letting the kiddies have a go at a few events.

Here are a few happy snaps from the day.

I was so thrilled for her when she won the 70m race, and her little beaming face made the whole day worth it. It just goes to show that even though she has had trouble with her legs and feet, that nothing is going to hold this girl back. Oh and can I say, boy can this girl jump. Considering she has never stepped foot near a long jump pit, check out the air that she got!

I had a few other things that needed to be done today, but I was really glad that I was there to spend this time with her. At the end end of the day, she told me how much she loved having me there.

So special.

Hi everyone.

How has your week been? This week has gone by so quickly, I can't believe tomorrow is Friday.

I can't go a week without posting so I thought I would stop by and share this card that I have made for Lime Tart. Don't you just love how relaxing that stamp looks. It is Brigette from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps.

Ahhhh who does't love a good bubble bath.

This is another spring card, I am a little bit addicted to them at the moment. They are so fun to make.

Groovy Girls!!

Hi everyone

How has your week been. It has been very busy here in our household. Today we went to the school carnival the "Charny Carny". The girls had a great time, and Grandma and Grandad were with us which made it even more special. That being said the girls came home with show bags and fairy floss, so we are going to have some very sugar high children soon :)

A big congratulations to the Top 10 who have made it through to Round 2 of the Sweet Pea Stamps Stamp-Off.

The challenge for Round 2 is to create a fancy fold card. I don't make too many of these cards, they intimidate me a little bit....but I am now addicted to them. I have been looking up loads of wonderful types of folded cards, and can't wait to try them all!

Here was my spring card example to inspire the Top 10.

That cute little image is from Karen Middleton's Sheet #2, Plate #113. It can be found on the sheet with the other groovy girls (a couple of which you will see later in the week).

Gallery Release Part 1

It is that time of the month again when all of the wonderful creations from the Lime Tart ladies are released in the gallery. This month (like every other month) the ladies projects are spectacular, so make sure you pop over to the gallery to check them out.

I have a few things to share, so rather than do one mammoth post I thought I would split them into two. I feel like I haven't done a layout for a little while, so I felt a bit out of practice lol.

Playing with Prismacolor Pencils

I told you I would be back later this week with some more cards using those gorgeous Karen Middleton images from Sweet Pea Stamps.

Rather than using my Copic Markers I thought I would try something a little different.

I have had Prismacolor pencils for quite a while, but have rarely used them. So I decided to pull them out and try using them to colour my stamped images.

What a day today has been, cold and miserable.

Miss Emily didn't have pre-school today which is lucky because she woke up with a runny, yucky nose (poor little poppet). We have been pretty lucky so far with Emily though. I remember when Kayla started pre-school she picked up every possible bug that was going around.

Anyway, I just thought I would share a sneak peek of something I have made using the March Full Tart from Lime Tart.

Aren't those Prima flowers gorgeous. I am working on a few other bits and bobs using this kit, so stay tuned for more sneaks in the next couple of days!

Chocolate and craft

Chocolate and craft...can you think of a better combination.

Well that is what this post is full of. Let's start with the chocolate part.

I work my backside off at the gym, so I figure every now and then I can treat myself (sounds fair doesn't it). So today I made this very yummy chocolate walnut brownie.

I couldn't find my square cake tin, so I had to use the round one instead (hence the wedge shaped brownie). It still tasted just as good.

Now for my cards.

These are a set of cards I made using the very sweet Karen Middleton images from Sweet Pea Stamps. I have used these stamps a few times lately and you will see some more later in the week.

Update: These cards have been accepted for publication (yay).

All of these sweet images can be found on Karen Middleton's Sheet#3, Plate #114.

The gorgeous paper I used was My Minds Eye Stella and Rose-Mabel. Don't you love it when you have paper that you find easy to work with!

Hi everyone.

How has your weekend been treating you? Ours has been fairly quiet. Just a little bit of housework left to do today, then the groceries, then some washing, perhaps a little bit of gardening....oh gosh the list goes on lol.

I have found some time lately to do some craft, not a great deal I can show just yet though (sorry).

I have made this card using a gorgeous Sweet Pea Stamp.

The stamp is from Meredith Dillman's Sheet #2, Plate #87 and is available from Lime Tart.

Speaking of Lime Tart, the new March kits have been revealed. All I can say is gorgeous.

A bit of this and that!

Gosh how this week has flown by.

My baby started Pre-school on Monday and she absolutely loved it!! We normally stay to do puzzles at school for ten minutes in the morning before we leave them. But Miss Emily was pushing me out the door very quickly. Her teacher tells me it shows confidence, but I was a little sad that she was so happy to let me go lol.

The house was so quiet without my little buddy with me. However it was nice to be able to clean the house, and not have it look like a tornado hit it within five minutes of finishing lol.

I have been so busy this past week that I haven't had a great deal of time at home in the quiet though. There was something to do each day of the week.

I made this card using a Meredith Dillmans Steampunk Doll fairy from Sweet Pea Stamps.

The image can be found on Sheet #2, Plate #87, which can be found at Lime Tart.

Speaking of Lime Tart, I was at ACTSA yesterday and I had a great time meeting a lot of wonderful ladies. I had so much fun demonstrating how to make some paper flowers and having a chat. I also received my kit for March and can I tell you, this is one beautiful kit. So make sure you keep an eye out for that one next month.

Well I had better get going. So many things to get done today.
