Make it Monday Challenge -Papertrey Ink

Hi again.

I told you I would be back again soon.  Two posts in one day, that must be a record for me.

I thought while I had my PTI supplies out, I would play along with the weekly challenge.  This week you had to include glittered embellishments.

Now anyone that knows me well, knows that the word glitter sends me into a tail spin.  I don't like to use it, and avoid it generally at all costs.

You see I am one of those people that manages to get it everywhere. In my hair, on my clothes, over my face. And it just sticks to me.  No matter how many times I wash myself, I will still have glitter on me weeks later.

Sorry I digress.  I decided to pull on my big girl panties, pull out the JAC paper and glitter and make some embellishments.

Here is the final result.

I really love the little elephant and giraffe, even if they are covered in glitter.  You may be wondering if I managed to get over my glitter phobia...well the answer is no.  The glitter has returned to the shelf, where I am sure it will sit lonely and unused for another long period of time.  Don't feel sorry for the glitter, it has definitely left a mark on me, in my hair, on my clothes and all over my face.

Until next time

Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge

Hi everyone.

It has been a while since I posted I know.  But with a new year comes fresh attitudes and creativity.

I thought I would start off the year by participating in a blog hop challenge through Papertrey Ink.
PI products are my new addiction.  They make it so easy to create a beautiful card. I think you will see a lot of my cards using PI products in the future :)

The challenge for this month is 'Pretty in Pink'.

Having two beautiful girls, this challenge was right up my alley, so I decided to make two cards.

Have you seen the beautiful ruffle cakes that are popping up all over the internet, that is where the inspiration for this card came from.  I attempted a ruffle cake for my daughters birthday last year, but not being a cake maker I won't shame myself by sharing those picture with you.

Here is the card instead.

Still having some scraps of pink paper on my desk I decided to put together another quick card.  You can't let any precious paper go to waste...right.

Well thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog today. I hope you enjoyed your visit.

I will be back soon with more creations.

School's out for summer!

Ahhhhh.  School is finished for the year.

The girls can relax and recharge their batteries.  We can all stay in our PJ's a bit longer and just enjoy the morning.

Peppy thought that the last day of school deserved a little treat.  So when the girls came home from school yesterday this is what they found.

A little ice cream parlour.  It was hot yesterday, so the ice cream went down a treat.  Especially with all the little extra goodies they could put on top of it.

The girls kept walking up to Peppy and thanking him for the lovely treat :)

I thought the girls may have gotten a tummy ache after eating all that sugar, but they managed just fine.
Peppy on the other hand may have a tummy ache this morning, after he tried eating the dog biscuits last night.

This is what we woke up to this morning.

Those are our dog's Scooby Snacks.
I don't think Peppy will have to worry about us giving them to Santa, but just to be sure he left a note.

Poor Peppy might need a glass of water to wash away the taste.

So Christmas is just around the corner, and I still have far too much to do. My blog posting may need to take a little break while I get organised and then enjoy Christmas time with my family. But don't worry, Peppy will still be getting up to all sorts of mischief, I just won't have a chance to blog.  There will be a massive Peppy update after the Christmas break, so stay tuned for that.

So from my family  to yours
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Stay safe everyone

Skylanders Revenge!

Oh dear.

It was coming, I knew it was.  Peppy had been asking for trouble this whole month.  I think the bikie vest with 'Elves rule, skylanders drool'  may have been the straw that broke the camels back.

This is what we woke up to this morning.

Peppy was surrounded with the Ninjini twins at the helm.

What will he do, will he escape?

I am sure he will be fine.  In fact I heard rumours that he was planning something special for the girls to come home to this afternoon. Their last day of school, I think he wants to make it a bit more special.

Stay tuned.

Time for a rest.

Hi everyone.

Today I will do two posts for the price of one.  I didn't get a chance to blog about Peppy yesterday because my camera batteries ran out in the morning (too many Peppy  pictures).  I managed to take some photos last night but I was too tired to blog. Sorry.  So today I will do up two blog posts with a possible third tonight, so stay tuned for that one.

Peppy needed a lot of sleep yesterday as he caught up with another Goulburn Elf, Elfis Jingles.

Poor Peppy, so tired.

Going by the photos it looks like these two boys had a lot of  fun.

Funny little elves. The children were very excited to discover that the two elves had been out together.

So cute.  Thanks for playing along Elfis Jingle.

Peppy goes wild!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all bright eyed and bushy tailed today, I for one am not.  However I am excited that the school year is coming to a close so myself and my two little poppets can recharge our batteries.

So much to before then though.  Like clean up the mess that peppy made last night. I swear it is like having a third child in the house that I have to pick up after :)

Look at all that washing powder!
Peppy looks pretty proud of himself though. I am not sure my husband will be so pleased when he sees that Peppy has been scooting around on his lego motobike.

I can imagine there are also going to be some pretty unhappy Skylanders about if they catch a glimpse of Peppy's vest.

This elf is asking for trouble.
Stay tuned for more Peppy tomorrow.

Have a great day

Who knew you could grow chocolate!!

Hi everyone!

I am so sorry for the delayed update about what Mr McJingles has been up to. I have been run off my feet with the Goulburn Homestead markets this weekend.  I had a wonderful time and look forward to being back there again in the new year.

I know you have probably been wondering what Peppy has been doing, and the question was posed as to whether we were being held by him for ransom.  Luckily we were not being held for ransom, but  I hope he hasn't been reading the comments on my blog and suddenly thinks this will be a brilliant idea!

Peppy has been very well behaved the past few days, this has me a little worried.  He may be planning something big.

Yesterday the girls woke to find that Peppy had brought back some snow from the North Pole. It wasn't yellow thankfully.

With the snow was some little chocolate drops and this note.

The photos aren't that clear sorry.  The note reads

Plant these chocolate drops in the snow,
and wait for them to magically grow.
Tomorrow you will hardly believe your eyes,
because you will have a sweet surprise.
Love Peppy

Emily was really wanting them to grow into Mars Bars overnight, but instead this morning she got some cute little Hershey's Kisses.

Peppy may have eaten one, or two or three going by the chocolate smeared around his mouth.

I think I am going to go and plant some chocolate drops and see if they grow bigger. I bet it doesn't work for me though.  I may just have to raid Peppy's stash.

I will be back tomorrow with some more of Peppy-Elf Reporter.

Until then, stay out of trouble, you don't know when the elves are watching.

Peppy makes a midnight snack.

Hello again everyone.

The countdown is well and truly on to Christmas now.  We are getting to the pointy end of the stick, or should I say candy cane.  We have been having a blast with this lead up to Christmas.  Sure it has been busy and at times just plain chaos, but it really has been a lot of fun.

It wouldn't have been the same without our resident elf, Peppy McJingles.  He has really added some extra cheer this year.

Last night Mr McJingles thought he would do some baking.  He obviously hasn't learned to clean up after himself though.

Mmmmm choc chip cookies! And nothing goes better with cookies than a nice glass of cold milk.

Made especially for elves of course.

What a messy little baker you are Peppy.  The girls are looking forward to trying one of his cookies.  It will be interesting to see if they taste better than the one's I make :)

Well off I go, another busy day getting ready for the Twilight markets this weekend.

Until tomorrow

And so it begins

There was unrest in the Skylander camp yesterday.  Talks of an imminent attack by Peppy McJingles and his band of merry toys were making them nervous.  I am not sure what started this feud. Perhaps the Skylanders were a bit territorial, or could it be that they didn't approve of the mischief Mr McJingles was making.  In either case, Peppy certainly made his presence known last night.

We woke this morning to find this

A battlefield of baubles and marshmallows.

Toilet paper was the barrier of choice. Peppy's team barrier was almost impenetrable with the weight of Precious the pink bear standing behind it.

The Skylanders barrier didn't hold up as well against the battering of baubles and manic marshmallows.

Casualties were taken on both sides.

Ninjini had the tips of her swords capped.

And Thumpback....well he bit off more than he could chew.

Even poor Roxy suffered an inury.  Thank goodness for the Candy Cane Crutch.

Candy canes were not only used to support the injured.  They turned out to be a valuable tool as well.

During all the commotion Peppy found a safe haven among the Toilet paper.

I hope these toys have all learned their lesson are are now ready to live in peace.  I don't want to find a mess like this again.

I dread that the Skylanders will get their revenge though....when that will happen, who knows.

Stay tuned for more adventures of Peppy McJingles-Elf Reporter.

Cause there aint no shelf high enough....

...to keep Peppy from getting to Bloom.

We woke this morning to find Peppy climbing his candy cane ladder up to Bloom in the lounge room.

The girls have been waiting for Peppy and Bloom to spend more time together (little matchmakers), so this was it.  They have a lovely view of the Christmas tree from the top shelf, if Peppy can take his eyes off Bloom long enough to look at it.

The girls thought it was sweet, but I think they were more interested to know if Peppy was going to leave his candy cane ladder behind for them to eat.  I will have to think about that one.

As a side note from Peppy I have been busy getting orders ready for the Twilight Markets this weekend.

So far I have cut and embossed 300 tags, made 12 personalised note pad sets and 16 card packs.  Still so much to do before time runs outs

Here is a picture of the notepad sets all ready to be packaged up. I love how cute they look.

I will be back tomorrow with another installment of Peppy-Elf Reporter.

Until then

Peppy plays hide and seek.

Oh what hysteria we had this morning.

The girls couldn't find Mr McJingles anywhere!  He was playing hide and seek, and chose a very clever hiding spot.

Emily started to cry thinking that he had left us, poor little poppet.  When I told them that I had found his hiding spot the search was on.

Peppy eventually turned up in the cutlery drawer. The little post-it note says PEEK-A-BOO.

The girls thought this was priceless!  Isn't it funny how the simple things amuse them the most.

Because Peppy felt so bad for hiding from them this morning he hid a little chocolate treat in their school lunch box.

The girls very rarely get to take a chocolate to school, so this will be a treat indeed.

I wonder if they will tell me, or keep the secret with Peppy.

Until tomorrow

Peppy trims the tree

Hi again everyone.

After decorating the toilet yesterday, Peppy must have been inspired to do some more decorating last night.

He obviously had the toilet on his mind, but then again he probably couldn't get it out of his mind after being stuck in there all day yesterday.

The girls thought that maybe he wanted the tree to look like it had snow on it.  I just think he was being mischievous.  He looks like the king of the castle perched up there on the star.

I have heard whispers about a battle brewing in the darkness between some of the toys.  I think it is going to get messy.

Stay tuned.
