Peppy meets his housemates

Good morning everyone.

Well we didn't know what to expect when we woke up this morning.  What antics did Mr McJingles get up to during the night.  Thankfully this time it was pretty tame.  It appeared that he had a lovely quiet night mingling with his housemates. I must say, he is checking out Bloom the Winx Doll with a little too much twinkle in his eye.

Charlie the chef bear put on a wonderful spread of drinks and candy roll lollies.

Peppy must have become tired of telling all the toys what he was doing here.  So I assume he gave them the book with all his details to read instead.  The toys looked equally intrigued.  

Emily thought this was pretty magical, since the book was on her bed when she fell asleep.

The girls wished that they could give Peppy one quick kiss and cuddle.  Tonight when he returns from his Elf reporting duties he may have to bring back a little bag of magic so they can cuddle him tomorrow.  Just once though.

Our new house guest!

Hi everyone.

Well what an enormous month November was.  I think my feet hardly touched the ground as I was always on the move.  But hooray, the 1st of December has arrived.  This means we can officially start getting into the festive spirit.  Our tree has been trimmed, our halls have been decked and we have a new house guest for this month. But who could it be.

When the girls woke up this morning they found that the toaster cupboard had been fastened tight with Christmas ribbons and bows.

Attached to the door was this special delivery label all the way from the North Pole (for those playing along at home you can find it here).

It was a very special delivery indeed.  Because when the girls opened the cupboard doors this is what they found....an elf who had been nibbling on some raisin toast.

But this is no ordinary elf, this is a magical elf! He was accompanied by the book "The Elf on the shelf-a Christmas Tradition" and also a personalised letter from the fat man himself.

The girls had to quickly come up with a name so our elf would get his magic.  They came up with the cutest name ever Peppy McJingles.  Don't you love it!

I am sure Peppy is going to get into a fair deal of mischief while he is visiting our household.  The girls are watching their every move, to be sure that Peppy only reports good things back to Santa.

Ahhhh Christmas time, it is a magical time of the year.  Stay tuned for more Peppy antics.

I do have a couple of cards to show you today.  I took a break from colouring and made a few simple cards.  I love the way these turned out, although it took every fiber of my being not to add more to each of them.

Sorry for the long post, there is just so much to share.  I still have more to come, but maybe that can wait until tomorrow.

Quick Catch Up

Hi everyone.

I thought I would do a quick catch up today on some cards I haven't shown on this blog yet.  You may have already seen them on the Lime Tart Blog, but I thought it was about time that I shared them here as well.

But firstly I am excited to share that two of my cards are in this months issue of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft.  For those of you who are interested they are on page 37.

Now onto the cards. First up is this little cutie pie. The card uses the Penny Black stamp called Angels Among Us.  Isn't she just the sweetest.

A perfect stamp for when you you just want to say hi is this Saturated Canary Stamp-Talkie. The glasses I found a bit tricky, but a quick run down on how I did it can be found in this Lime Tart Blog post.

I wanted to try and do something a bit more funky with this next card, hence the pink hair.   The stamp is Lil Lolita Willow, from CC Designs.

And last but not least is this beauty. I think it is one of my most favourite colourings that I have done. The stamp is April Sunshine from Whimsy Stamps.

A bit of a mixed bag today.  I hope you enjoyed looking at them all.  I have a few creations on my desk at the moment which I can't wait to share with you.  I am feeling very creative at the moment.  It must be all the lovely sunshine we have been having.

Christmas is on its way!

Hi everyone.

With Christmas just around the corner I thought I would get a jump on some Christmas tags. These little lovelies are going to be perfect to jazz up the presents under the tree this year.

I love the colour combination of kraft, red, white and blue together...so pretty.

I have also been working on a few cards using the Whimsy Stamps Honeycomb die set and Everyday Honeycomb sentiments.  I can't show you all of them yet, but here is a sneak peek.

I will do a full reveal of the cards soon.  But until then, take care of yourselves and remember to smile.

Back in the saddle

Hi everyone.
It has been a long time since I last posted, but I am here to say that I am back! I have been quiet on the blog front, but I haven't stopped creating. Here are some cards that I created recently for Lime Tart using the May A la Tarte. This kit is now sold out, but there are still plenty of other beautiful kits available in store. I just love those Penny Black ...Wishes Stamps.

I was a little bit excited to see my tutorial on how to colour a Christmas Pudding using Copic Markers in this months issue of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft.

That is my little pudding down in the right hand corner.  That counts as a cover picture doesn't it!

I am also now selling cards, invitations and other papercrafts at the Goulburn Homestead Markets. These markets are on every third Sunday of the month at the Riversdale Homestead in Goulburn.  They are gorgeous markets, packed full of so many beautiful stalls.  My stall name is Renee's Paper Tree.  I was sick this last month so sadly I wasn't able to make it, but I am looking forward to the November markets. I would love to see you there if you live close by.  Here is a photo of my stall banner, sorry it is not a very good one.

I will post more photos of my display after the next markets.  I haven't really taken any nice photos of it yet, but I will post them I promise.

It feels so good to be back in blogland.  It was nice to have a break, but I am now refreshed and ready to start sharing again.  I will be back very soon with some more creations.
