Feeling inky!!

Have you checked out the gorgeous new inks Kaisercraft have released!! If not you can check them out here. They are so much fun to work with and the colours are so rich and vibrant, I just love them. I decided I was going to make a set of cards with the ink set, but I didn't want to stamp. So I decided to grab out my trusty old makeup wedges, hand cut some simple mask and stencil shapes and away I went happily inking. These are the cards that I ended up creating.


A journey....begins with a thought in your mind and the courage to give it a go....and pray it works lol (or at least that is what I did)Just because...you feel the need to get dirty and messy with ink doesn't mean it is always a good idea (especially when wearing a white shirt)

Friends....well what can I say if you have friends you never feel lonely

I added some stitching for a little bit more detail and some rub-on sentiments. I have never really done anything like this before so I was really thrilled with the way they turned out. I hope you like them too.

Tooth Fairy!!

Another momentous occasion happened yesterday in the Ludlow household. Kayla got her first wobbly tooth. When I told her her tooth was going to fall out soon, she burst into tears. Poor little poppet. But when she was told the tooth fairy would come she got a little more excited. We go through periods of excitement and sheer terror, but I am sure when it finally comes out she will be very excited. I decided I wanted to make a little pouch for her to put her tooth in, so I Googled the internet for patterns. Then I came across this darling little tooth fairy from this very talented lady and I couldn't resist making it for my big girl. It was so cute and I loved the way the little mouth acts as a pocket to hold all Kayla's special little teeth. So this morning was spent sewing and stuffing this little sweetie, all under the very watchful eye of Kayla. Although she was full of encouragement with comments like "that is coming along great Mum"and "You are doing so well Mummy", lucky she is easy to please lol.

There is some tulle under the flower on her head, but this doesn't show up very well in the photo. She now hangs on Kayla's door in anticipation for the moment when that pearly white finally falls out.

Today I thought I would also show you the two layouts that I made using Kaisercraft's two January releases Made With Love and Shaken Not Stirred. I didn't know how I would go with these ranges because they didn't really fit my style, but I have to tell you they were an absolute pleasure to work with. I love them both!!

Decisions, decisions!

Hi everyone.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, it seems that by the time I have a chance to get onto the computer at night all I want to do is curl up and watch some TV. I thought with Kayla going to school I would have more time on my hands but it has been the complete opposite. After dropping Kayla off in the morning Em and I are busy doing lots of other fun activities together, throw in a bit of housework and the day is pretty much gone. Then after picking up Kayla it is all systems go for afternoon tea, reading, homework, play, dinner, bath, Kayla's story writing time and then bed. Phew!! We had parent-teacher interviews during the past week and I got to sit down and have a chat with Mr Munro. He is very happy with Kayla's progress and we have set 3 goals for her this year. Kayla loves to read and write, and one the goals she set herself was to learn to be able to write stories by the end of the year. So each night or whenever she wants we sit down and write a story in her very own story book. I help her to spell words but she writes it all herself. I can't wait to see the progress she has made come the end of the year.

So with how busy I have been and a few other bits and pieces I have decided it was time to finish my position at 123 Scrapbook. It was so fantastic to be part of this team and I have loved working with such a talented group of ladies. I have made many wonderful friends there and I am sure we will all stay in touch.

So on that sad note I will leave. But I do have a few Kaiser creations that I can share from the January releases, so I might pop back on later and show you one or two of them.

Hi everyone.

Sorry for not posting for a little while, I was just taking a little break. With Kayla starting school and crafting at night I just wasn't finding the time to keep up daily posts. The little break from blogland was nice but now I am back, but with a few changes. I will now probably only blog once or twice a week with piccies from my project 365. I will keep updating whenever I can with projects I have been making. Speaking of which I can share with you all this little project I made for Kaisercraft.

It is a little card game I have made for Kayla using the new Kaisercraft Heart Stand. To find out more and how I made it, pop over to the Kaisercraft blog where there are some simple instructions.

I also made this pocket to hold all of the little alphabet cards.

The one thing that I forgot to mention in the instructions on the Kaisercraft blog is that these cards are now double sided. One side has Capital letters, and the other side has lowercase letters.

Kayla Loves playing with her little cards, and she thinks she is so clever when she clips them into the stand herself.

I will be back on the weekend with some photos. I have to edit a few of them yet so I will hopefully get the chance to do that tonight.
