Mum's the word-on now!

In my previous post I mentioned that the Kim Archer's Mum's the Word @Home Mother's day workshop was kicking off on Monday. Well it is now well under way and all I can say is wow!!! The projects have been amazing so far, and I can't wait to see the rest. See the one in the bottom right hand corner...that is mine :)

On another note I have been busy playing with the Q4 releases from Kaisercraft. Can you believe it has been one year since I joined this wonderful team. How time flies!

Here is a layout I made using the Utopia collection.

I was a little worried about this collection because they aren't colours I would normally choose. But I was pleasantly surprised with how beautifully they came together in this layout.

Next up is a Family History folder that I have made using the Kaisercraft Recipe book and Tea at Elsie's collection. Anyone researching family history would know that the amount of information to sort through and find can be a little overwhelming. So I thought it would be fantastic to put it all in the one spot, safe and sound.

Inside the folder I have used the 6x6 paper pads to make mini-layouts of any photos that I find. These are just simple little pages to tell me who is in the photo.

Some exciting news!

Kim Archer Workshops@home is going to have a new workshop being launched on Monday 26th April. It is the new @Home Mum’s The Word workshop. It will feature great Mother's day ideas from the girls who made the Top 15 Support Team, including yours truly. I just know this class will be fabulous, so make sure you pop over to the Kim Archer Workshops@home site and book into this class.

Tea Anyone?

Have you seen the Tea at Elsie's collection from Kaisercraft yet? If not you should have a bit of a lookie. The colours in it are so soft and pretty, my sort of papers. I have only made one layout so far with this collection, but my mind has been racing with ideas for BTP projects.

On another note I didn't make the Kim Archer @home support team. But I am not disappointed at all, two very talented ladies were chosen and Kim has asked me if I wanted to be Guest Tutor sometime in the future. So that in itself is extremely exciting for me. Yay me!!

Tick tock-Kaisercraft Round Clock

Hellloooo everyone.

Wow this week has flown past. I have been busy having fun with the girls while Kayla is on school holidays. Emily is loving her big sister being home again. Although at times when they are bickering a little time out for them both wouldn't hurt:)

We have had a few little appointments for Kayla while she is on holidays. The first was with a speech therapist to see if she needed to have any further help with her articulation of a few sounds. It turns out it is only a minor problem and we are going to try an at-home program to try and correct it. We also had to have her hearing re-tested and thank goodness that came back all clear. Only one more appointment to go to, and that is the physiotherapist for her feet. Kayla is loving going to all these places and meeting these new people, it is all so exciting. Little treasure she is.

Talking about how fast these school holidays are going, here is a Kaisercraft Round Clock that I made using the La Di Da range. You can find some quick tips on how I made it on the Kaisercraft blog.

This clock now sits in Kayla's room and she loves it! She knows how to tell the time on it a little bit. Mainly the time when morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea should be served. These are the most important times for her apparently lol.

We don't have any major plans for the weekend. We may venture to the farmers market to grab some fresh fruit and veg, but other than that I think it will be a quiet one at home.

G-g-g-good morning

Good Morning everyone. The temperature has dropped a little bit here the last few days, so the winter woolies have been pulled out of storage ready for the fast approaching winter. Kayla has had a massive growth spurt, which became evident when we tried on a jumper that fit her only 6 months ago :)

Luckily it isn't that cold just yet that my hands have frozen. So on the weekend I was able to make these two layouts for our blog week over at Kaisercraft.These layouts use the Q1 ranges Loire Valley and Duchess.

How young and fresh faced do we look in our wedding photos? I can't believe that was over 9 years ago.

Kayla is on school holidays now for two weeks...yay (I love having her home). We haven't made many plans, I think for the most part we will relax around the house and have fun together. Kayla loves crafts at the moment and she wants to make something new everyday. Yesterday we made paper bag mice. Very cute, although trying to get Emily not to cut off her fingers with scissors was a bit of a challenge lol.

Hopefully I will be back on by the end of the week with some more creations. I have been bitten by the sewing bug again, and I am go to try and find time to make a table topper for the kitchen table (now where to start looking for all that spare time hehe).
