A couple of things to share.

Hi everyone. How was your long weekend? I hope it was a nice relaxing one. I have a couple of things to share today. First of all is the layout I have created for this months challenge over at A2Z Scraplets blog. If you haven't created your layout yet, pop over to the blog, have a look at the sketch and be in the running to win some Scraplets.

Next is a Kaisercraft Flourish Desk Calendar that I have finished making for my sister. I used the gorgeous Kaisercraft Country Grove range of papers. I am a little depressed now though, because this is one of my favourite paper ranges and I am almost out:( Lucky Kaisercraft are always bringing out new ranges, so I am sure it won't be long before I have a new favourite.

I have made the photo frame by cutting out a piece of chipboard, inking it with Distress inks and then applying a layer of crackle accents. Love the look of this! I have also left the top parts of the photos unattached so that my sister can change the photos over.

Well thats about it from me today. I hope you all have a fantastic week.

I am in the Kaisercraft e-Newsletter!

Ok so normally I don't do two posts in one day. I hardly ever do 1 post a day, but I had to share some more fantastic news with you all. I have been published in Kaisercrafts first monthly e-newsletter. I am so excited about this. Kaisercraft is my favourite brand, so to be featured in their newsletter is amazing. The project they featured was the mini-album that I had made for my brother-in law. Click here to see the album. Now to just get into one of the magazines :) So if you received this months e-newsletter have a looksie at the end and you will see my project.

Thanks for visiting

New Design Team Role

Hi Everyone.

I hope your week is treating you well so far. I have had a bit of a tummy bug, but I seem to finally be getting over it now. Nasty little thing it was.

Well I have some very exciting news. I have been chosen as one of the new Design Team Members for A2Z Scraplets. I have loved their products ever since I first saw them, and now to be on the Design Team is just amazing. All the ladies over there are so wonderful and I can't wait to start working with them.

Also at the moment there is challenge on the A2Z Blog, so why not pop over and see if you can pick up some of these amazing products!

Well until next time.

A new layout

Hi everyone.

I hope your week is treating you well so far. It has been slightly on the warmer side here. I am not really a summer person, I dream of it being spring all year round. Minus the bees. I hate bees. Buzzy little annoyances they are. I am sure you all wanted to know that about me. Moving on. Today i have a layout to share. I made this one last night, while it was hot and sticky. As soon as I took this photo of my gorgeous girls I knew it had to be scrapped. I wanted it to be a bit fun and the Bella! Me and You Paperz seemed to be calling out to be used. These girls are just the sweetest little things. Sure they chuck their tantrums and and can be a bit bossy, but when they smile like that and say "I love You Mummy" everything seems alright. Love, love, love my girls.

Well that's about it from me today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Updated Photos

Another quick post for today. These are some updated photos of my two little scally-wags. Gotta love those smiles!! I can't believe that in 1 month our little Kayla will be off to pre-school. Pre-school is only 12 hrs per week here, but the thought of how fast she is growing up really tugs at my heart strings. I guess I will just have to get in extra cuddles and kisses now.

Thanks for popping in.

Oh My Goodness

What an amazing week I have had already. First my amazing prize for wining last month's challenge over at Inkurable Stampers arrived. The prize was an awesome pack from the guys at Stampin' Up. In the pack was:

-3 Stampin' Pads ($9.95 each)
- Stampin' Spray Mist ($7.95)
- Vintage brads ($14.95)
- Scallop Circle Punch ($30.95)
- Bronc Buster Stamp set ($35.95)

I was so thrilled to win, and i just want to say a huge thankyou to the lovely Sarah Schwerin over there at Inkurable Stampers.

After getting over that excitement. My parcel delivery guy arrived today with another surprise for me. Back in Vol 10 No 9 of Scrapbooking Memories they were holding a giveaway for Jo Sonja's products. They had 10 packs to give away, so I thought I might as well enter because I am a huge fan of Jo Sonja's paints. Well imagine my disbelief when today, a parcel arrived filled with loads of Jo Sonja's goodies. I am still floating a little bit, but how exciting.

I just had to share the news with everyone!

Thanks for stopping by.

What A Puzzle

This months challenge over at Inkurable Stampers was puzzle pieces.I had a couple of ideas for this one, but in the end decided to do a Pieces Of Me mini-album made out of a puzzle. I acquired this 4 piece puzzle from my gorgeous daughters - luckily they have moved on to more complicated ones now, so hopefully they won't miss it. It was pretty easy to do. I just printed out a photo the same size as the completed puzzle, and then traced and cut out the various pieces. I then adhered them to the puzzle and embellished it. Very simple. I also cut a circle out of chipboard for the cover page. The stamps i used were from the Basic Grey Ambrosia Bitsy Medallion Stamp set.

The pages can be taken apart and made into a puzzle of me. I am not normally one to do things about myself but this year is going to be different....maybe lol.

Thanks for stopping by.

My sister and me

My sister and I are very close and we have been ever since I can remember. She is a great source of inspiration for me, and i remember growing up always wanting to be "just like her". So this is a layout of the two of us. I would really love to get a frame and put this one on display. All in good time I guess.

I used the Basic Grey-Urban Prairie range, which is so pretty don't you think.

I also found these emu feathers at lincraft, and have been wanting to use them for ages.

This next pic is the Bazzill Basics paper flower which I have flicked pink and black paint onto, and also added a vintage keyhole as the center. it also shows the hidden journaling that i have under the photo.
And finally this is a clear scraps fame which I have inked around the edges and added some kindyglitz, flower and button.

Well thanks for looking, and I hope you have had a great weekend.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to everyone reading this post. How did you all spend your New Years Eve? Ours was very quiet. I went to bed around 11pm only to wake up in a fright when the fireworks went off at midnight. Serves me right for not seeing the New Year in i suppose. I spent much of New Years Eve making these 40 layouts for the Southern Cross Kids Camp. They were very simple and quick to make. If you have some spare time on your hands and maybe can manage to make a few layouts, click the link on the right and it will give you all the info you need.

Finally, here is a poem for all my readers, who I thank from the bottom of my heart for all their lovely comments.

Happy New Year Wish
My Happy New Year wish for you
Is for your best year yet,
A year where life is peaceful,
And what you want, you get.
A year in which you cherish
The past year’s memories,
And live your life each new day
Full of bright expectancies.
I wish for you a holiday
With happiness galore;
And when it’s done, I wish you
Happy New Year, and many more.
