Copic Creating-first attempt

Ok.
So playing with Copic markers is something that I have thought about for a little while, but have never been brave enough to do. That is until recently, when the very talented Tanya Tahir started showing some of her stunning work on her blog.

I decided that I too would take the plunge and give this a go. My starter kit arrived from Lime Tart today, as well as some very cute little stamps. So with a bit of time to spare tonight I had a play.

Here is my first creation/attempt....

Coloured with Copics -YG00, YG03, B02, B05, R32, R35, RV10, E31, 0

The stamp is Sweet Pea Stamps -Lisa Victoria's Dragon Luck.

Ok....I have a long, long, long way to go with these markers and I wasn't going to show this little fellow on my blog....but I can only get better hey. Practice makes perfect or so they say. Anyway you have to start somewhere, and I thought I would share my Copic journey with you all :)

Squealing with Webster's Pages delight!

I can't believe it!!

I just won one of the new ranges from Webster's Pages at their CHA preview party live chat. I am sooo excited that I just had to share it here. I have been raving about the Webster's Pages new lines, and I absolutely adore all of them so it was hard to choose one. But I decided that the new Wonderfall range really was wonder-fall!! You can check out all of the new ranges on the Webster's Website here. They are all so yummy.

Oh and make sure you check out the new embellies as well.
I think my new favs are the netting and the delightful little whimsies!!! Mmmmmmmmm.

So excited! I just had to share :)

Kazan's Sketch 57

Hi everyone.

Don't you just love the weekend! The girls are still in their PJ's and happily occupying themselves, and I woke up in a crafty mood. So I quickly whipped up a card for this weeks sketch challenge over at

Here is the sketch

and my card

I tried to keep the card fairly simple...although this was a bit of a struggle lol.

Also I am very excited, because my layout from the previous post was one of the featured layouts over at The Color Room this week. I was so thrilled when I saw it up there on the wall. Yay me!!! I have been receiving so many nice comments lately and I just want to let you all know that I truly appreciate every one of them. And I will try and pop onto each of your blogs and say hello.

So that is about it from me today. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.
Take care

The Color Room-gorgeous

I can't believe that I have now managed to do three Color Room palettes in a row. Yay me!! I am so inspired by this site though, so it is really easy to create layouts each week.

The palette this week were colours that I wouldn't normally put together, but they work brilliantly.

My layout-Gorgeous

This is a photo of my little niece. Isn't she just adorable, although I am sure my sister would tell you she has her moments. But that doesn't bother me, I love her to bits.

I am so proud of myself lately. I have moved on from just using one range to do my layouts. I have been adventuring out and starting to mix and match papers, which until recently is something that I wouldn't normally do.

In this layout there are a mix of Bo Bunny papers-Sophie, Peacock Lane and Petal Pushers. There is also some Kaisercraft Gypsy Sisters in there.

So how has your week been so far? Kayla is back at school and Emily spent much of Monday just lying on the couch. We thought she might have been getting sick, but I think it is more likely that she was just recuperating from a busy two weeks with her sister home.

I hope you are all fine and well.
Thanks for stopping by.

Webster's Wednesday??

I was meant to put this blog post up yesterday hence the title "Webster's Wednesday", but time got away from me so I have just had to pop it up this morning instead.

I am loving doing challenges at the moment, and there is nothing like a challenge to get those creative juices flowing. So I decided to give the July challenge over at Webster's pages a go. The challenge asked that we use a vintage photo.

I knew immediately that I was going to use this photo of my Dad as a little boy...isn't he cute!!

I used the very sweet Lullaby Lane papers, journaling cards and some yummy Webster's pages trims. Talking about Webster's, make sure you pop over to the site to check out their CHA Summer releases....yummo!!

After doing this layout the creative juices were still flowing so I decided to use my scraps to make a card for this months challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I have stalked this site for a little while and I am always amazed at everyone's creativity.

The fabulous sketch
and my card

I am loving making my own flowers lately. I have loaded up on various satins, tulle and netting so I am sure you will be seeing some more handmade flowers soon :)

Well that is all from me today. I hope you are all well and happy.
Take care

A layout and a publication.

Howdy everyone!!

Well it is a new week and that means a new colour palette over at The Colour Room.

Here is this weeks palette (don't you love the fresh feel of it).

And here is the layout that I ended up creating with it. I had a few different versions of how this layout was going to come together, but this was my final decision...I hope I made the right choice lol.
I just love that little toothy smile.

I also have a little tootie toot. A few months back I had this layout using Webster's Pages published in Scrapbooking Memories.

Well I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw it was the title page for the Vintage Gallery (yay me). Just thought I would share!!

We had a great start to the week yesterday. I was enjoying my morning cup of coffee when I realized that we had an appointment scheduled for the Speech Therapist later that morning. So after a bit of a mad rush we arrived on time. Kayla is doing really well with her "sh" sounds. We are now onto the word stage, using words that have "sh" at the beginning, middle and end. I really do love the therapists that work with Kayla. They are all so lovely and have such a warmth with the children. I suppose this is their job, but it certainly makes getting Kayla to go there a great deal easier.

I hope you had a fabulous Monday, and that Monday-itis didn't bite you too hard.

Take care

Mini-album Madness!!!

Well maybe it's not madness but I do have a couple of shares for you today. They are two mini albums that I made for Kaisercraft that landed home safely on my doorstep the other day.
The first is one of my favourite mini-albums, I think mostly because it is of my beautiful girls.
I really thought that I was going to struggle with this range of papers, but it ended up being really easy to work with and gave the album a very cute girly feel.

I love these photos.

Aren't these girls adorable. Like any sisters they have their little tiffs, but they really do have such a special sisterly bond. I think that they will be best friends for ever...much like me and my sister...waving hi to you big sis!!!

This second mini-album I had completely forgotten I had done, because it was made rather quickly. And as a lot of people are celebrating Christmas in July, I thought it would be wonderful to share it with you all now.

It is based around a beautiful Christmas wish poem that I found one day when surfing the net.

These photos are a bit dodgy sorry, if I get a chance I will try to put some better ones up.

Boy oh boy are these photos bad....will definitely have to fix them up!

I am having a fabulous time with Kayla being on holidays. But this past week has just flown past. We had so many things we were going to do and haven't really done any of them. Mind you it has been rather nice just relaxing around the house spending some time just reading, cooking and playing games. I know that in a blink of an eye these days will be gone and Kayla will not want me to read to her or play any sort of games with her. So I am lapping them up now :)

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. I am feeling very crafty and hopefully will have a few more shares for you come Monday.

So until then take care and thank you for stopping by.

A splash of colour

Hi Everyone.

Boy have I been a slack blogger lately. I do apologize!!! To be
honest nothing terribly exciting has been happening in my neck of the woods. Kayla is on school holidays at the moment, so I am just enjoying having her home all day.

Last night I finally felt the desire to start scrapping again. And there is nothing like a challenge to get you motivated. I have long been inspired by all the gorgeous creations over at The Color Room. So last night I thought I would give this weeks palette a go.

Here is the beautiful palette

And here is the layout I made using this lovely array of colours.

I wish I had something more exciting to share with you, but at the moment things are pretty quiet.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for all the lovely comments I have been receiving.

Take care.
