Poor Baby

Following on from my last post....poor Baby fish sadly went to the beautiful fish bowl in the sky. When we told DD that Baby was sick, she was pretty upset. So rather than telling her that Baby had died, we decided to just say that he had gone to the doctors. Then hubby went and picked up another 'Baby' plus another two fish. We went on the theory that if there are more fish in the tank they will be less aggressive (also it would hopefully mask the obvious differences between the original and new Baby). All is going swimmingly now, they all look happy, healthy and peaceful. I will post some pics of them when I remember to take some.

On to some scrappiness now. This next layout I made yesterday using the Kaisercraft Sakura Park range. Notice the lace behind the paper. This is actually from an old lace curtain that we owned. I am sure one day in the future I will go to hang this curtain up somewhere, only to find a gaping big hole in it.

Well that's about it from me today. Thanks for visiting me. Have a great weekend!!

A fishy post..plus some scrapbooking

Hi everyone.

I hope you have had a fantastic week. All has been fairly quiet in my neck of the woods. We have had two little additions to our family. They come in the form of two comet fish. We decided that it was about time the girls had a pet, so we decided to start small. The girls have named them Mini and Baby. They are extremely cute. Although I thought Baby (which is the smaller of the two fish) was going to go to the little fish bowl in the sky yesterday morning. It was in between the plants at the bottom of the fish tank and it didn't look too healthy at all. The girls informed me that is where Baby must sleep.. Which wasn't far from the truth, because as it turns out Mini is actually a bully, and in between the plants at the bottom of the tank is where Baby is safest. Poor Baby. As if a fish tank isn't small enough for it, now it is doomed to be cooped up in between the plants to ensure it's survival. I figure as long as it is on the bottom on the tank, and not floating at the top, we are doing pretty well. Geez who knew you could babble on so much about fish. Moving on.

I have a few layouts to share with you. These are for A2Z Scraplets.

Just a quick reminder. There is still time to get your entry in for this months sketch challenge over at the A2Z Scraplets Blog. You have to be it to win it, so pop on over and give it a go.

Well that's about it for today. I hope I didn't bore you with all my talk about the fish. I hope to catch you back here soon. Have a great weekend.

Take care

Saturday fun

On this lovely Saturday (raining and cold) I found myself having the urge to create another Beyond the page project. So I decided to make this little wall hanging of Miss Kayla. This is a photo of Kayla when she was only 4 months old...awwwwww. I have also recently made a layout using this photo, but I will show that to you another day :)

This project uses the Kaisercraft Script Word "Angel". I also used their Blushed paper range, rhinestones, flowers and rub-ons. I cut the scalloped semi-circle out of acetate, which I then embellished and adhered to the back of the word. I really love the way this turned out. And best of all, it was so quick and easy. This was just the thing to get my creative juices flowing again. Watch out scrapbook stash here I come LOL.

Well I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I feel like a cup of hot chocolate, but sadly we don't have any. I guess a cup of tea will have to do.

Have a great Sunday.

Follow Me

I just wanted to share with all you wonderful people another of my layouts that I created for A 2 Z Scraplets. This layout uses the new Button Shapes which are very cute indeed. In this layout I wanted to show the special relationship that my two girls share. They are always following each other around, and where ever you find one the other won't be far away. It is so beautiful to watch when they are playing happily together. Now this doesn't mean that it is all cuddles and kisses between them, they have their little tiffs like most siblings. But these are always short lived and they are back to beings best friends in no time. I am certain that these girls will remain best friends their entire life (just like my sister and I have).

Well thanks for passing by.

My Big Girl..

I only just realised that I haven't posted a pic of our beautiful Kayla's first day of pre-school. Our little poppet was so excited to go that she woke me up at 5 am just to let me know that "I am going to pre-school today". Little sweetheart. I didn't mind one bit, I was so happy to see her excited about it. The photo doesn't portray her excitement at all. The reason behind the not so thrilled look on her face, is because every moment we spent taking a photo, was a moment that we should have been leaving for pre-school. After every shot I was asked "can we go now Mummy?" And after about the 5th photo, our little princess had just about enough and was ready to go to pre-school. So this was the best photo of them all. Please pay particular attention to the "funky" new shoes that our little miss got for pre-school. We tried them on at the shop, and there was no way we were leaving without them...Kayla fell in love with them. A girl has to have a new pair of shoes for her big day.

Well thanks for stopping by. i hope you are having a great week.
Take care
