This is my final DT layout for CBB. It uses the gorgeous Basic Grey Lilykate paper range, some kaiser word rubons and some very pretty flowers. I added some more Kaiser rubons, rhinestones and butterfly. As well as some AC thickers.
I loved this photo of my daughter in the backyard with her fairy wings on. We bought the wings and wand set from the Wiggles concert we went to just over a week ago. Gotta love the Wiggles. Anyway I wanted to make the photo a bit more fairy-ish and magical. So I did a little bit of photoshop magic and voila. I quite like the effect, it is just something a bit different.
Thanks for visiting me and feel free to leave a comment, I love reading what people think.
oh and MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY.

Hi there.
I thought I would share with you this layout that I have done of my Dad. I love this photo of him, as it shows his strength but also the gentleness in his smile. I used the gorgeous Kaiser Rustic Charm papers as I thought they suited him perfectly. AnywayI have been so busy lately making OTP's that this layout was a bit of a nice change for me.
Thanks for taking the time to visit me.

I was sitting in my craft room, thinking that a Christmas decoration would look nice sitting on my desk. I really wanted to make something, and I thought a little Christmas posie would look nice. The scallop challenge over at Inkurable Stampers then got me thinking about making some little scallop flowers. These were really easy to make, and i ended up making the posie fairly quickly. Overall I think it turned out ok, although i think it might need some more foliage (or space fillers).

On the weekend i sent off my Secret Santa gift for one of the ladies at 123 scrapbook. I wanted to make her something special, and i thought some Inspirational Quote cards would be a lovely idea. Well Teina received her pressie yesterday and she was absolutely delighted with them. So I thought I would share what i had made for her with all you wonderful people.
The cards are made out of Jumbo Playing Cards. They are decorated with various things, but the main papers used were the divine K & Company Ancestry.com papers.
I particularly love that last quote.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you even just a little bit.

Our Cookie Adventures

I have been meaning to put these photos up for a little while. It is of the little cookie adventure I had with my girls one afternoon. I decided it would be fun for the girls and I to make some biscuits. Nothing too flash just the ordinary biscuit base type. So after mixing up the dough, i gave the girls some flour to sprinkle on the table so that we could cut out the cookies. Note to self...the girls still have to learn the meaning of sprinkle. This was followed by the girls carefully (or not so carefully) using cookie cutters to cut out some very cute little cookies. This was all going ok, Kayla had got the hang of it pretty quickly and was pushing out cookies faster than they would bake (another note to self...buy more biscuit trays). Then Emily, who still loves to put things in her mouth, decided she would taste some of the cookie dough. And to her delight, she thought it was "yummo". Needless to say, after this I had to ration the amount of cookie dough that was given to little miss Emily. Finally after all biscuits were made, all that was left to do was clean up the mess. And a very big mess it was. The girls miraculously disappeared when it came to cleaning up time though. In the end it was a very, very messy adventure. But an oh so yummy one too.

Black With 2 Layout

This week the Black with 2 challenge at CBB was, black, brown and blue. I thought this challenge called for the use of the divine Kaiser Cocco range. The layout is of my gorgeous sisters very preggy belly. We also had to make a handmade embellishment of a butterfly. I covered a collections chipboard butterfly with paper, then inked around the edges with distress ink. I then embossed it using my cuttlebug and added some blue beads to it's body. I really loved using this colour scheme.

Hi guys. I know I have already posted a couple of times today. But this one is for a really great cause. There is a call out for compassionate scrappers to make some really simple 6 x 6 pages for a kids camp. This camp is for abused and at risk children. I am going to try and make a few pages, and I am sure they would appreciate as many people to help as they can. So if you think you have the time go to this website to find out more information

So here are 6 things you may not know about me
1) I have lived in 5 different towns/cities
2) I am lucky enough to have two middle names. So both of my daughters now have one of my middle names as their middle names.
3) I have completed a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biotechnology
4) I have a fear of birds and mice. If the birds would eat all the mice then I would only have half the problem.
5) My husband and I have been together for 12 years and married for7.
6) I have 5 gorgeous nieces and 1 amazing nephew.

Here is another entry for the 123 Cybercrop. It is from a sketch by Teina Cumming (one of the 123 DT girls). The requirements was to do a layout from the sketch, use the word celebrate and use one of teina's Trimmings. I made one of her lovely Hessian flowers. I cut out flowers from the Basic Grey Eva range for the left hand side, and I also made some alcohol ink leaves. I think it turned out pretty well.
Then last night I quickly made up four quick canvases for the Craft Bits and Bears Breast Cancer Cybercrop. These only took about an hour to make (including waiting for paint to dry). They are so simple and ended up being very cute. I painted them the same colour as the "LOVE MY GIRLS" house that I made, so they all match beautifully in my craft room.
Well that's about it for the time being.
Plenty more scrapping planned over the weekend, so watch this space.

This is a layout that I completed for one of the 123 Scrapbook Cybercrop Challenges. It had to be about someone you are thankful for, and it had to include stitching, a distressed element and chipboard.
I decided to do a layout of my wonderful parents, for without them , I wouldn't be the lady I am
today.
I used the stunning Bo Bunny beau Jardin papers and some Collections chipboard elements.
Those Bo Bunny papers are so beautiful, I almost didn't want to use them at all. I also made some acetate cutouts using the Kaiser Flora and Fauna stamps and Black Stazon ink. I think in the end it come together quite well.
Anyway thanks for looking.

This is my entry for the Craft Bits and Bears Breast Cancer Scrapathon. It is a little wooden house that i picked up from a $2 shop ages ago.
I painted it using Kaiser paints, then used Melissa Francis papers, various flowers and some Kaiser rubons and bling. The owl and leaves are from Collections elements (love them at the moment_.
I had so much fun making this and I will be hanging it in my craft room, where I can see the girls two little smiling faces always looking at me.

My poor little Emily had a bit of a run in with the tiles. The result-a nasty bump on the head. The thud of her head on the tiles made my heart skip a bit (or one hundred). She is a tough little cookie though, she cried for a little bit and then dusted herself off and kept on playing. I think I was more upset about it than she was. Poor little poppet.

I am so very excited. On Friday I submitted a coffee filter album that I had made to Scrapbooking Memories. I couldn't believe when that afternoon I received a yes email from them for it to be published. There is no guarantee yet that it will be published, but I sent it off yesterday for them to look at. I am absolutely thrilled. Yipeeeeeee. I have never been published before, and my goal was to be published before I turn 30. So I might just have achieved that goal (yay for me). Anyway it is their policy that all images of the album be removed from blogs and galleries so I can't show it to you. However I will definitely let the world know when and if it is going to be published. SOOOOOOO EXCITING.

Well here they are. My two little angels or should I say monsters. Imagine my surprise when I heard two (cute) little growling voices standing behind me saying "we are coming to get you mummy". Furthermore, imagine my surprise when I turned around and I saw two little Underpants Monsters standing there. I almost had to change my underpants I laughed so hard. Serves me right for leaving the washing folded up on the bed I guess. Anyway I thought it was a photo opportunity that I just could not pass up. I still giggle looking at these photos.

Mail art is essentially making your own decorated post card to give to someone special. Below is my first ever attempt at mail art. It was inspired by a stamping class over at 123 scrapbook.
I think it turned out ok. I wanted to try my hand at something a bit more vintage. I am not sure if I totally pulled it off, but I still like the result.

Well today I made my first attempt at inchies for a swap over at SM. For those who don't know what an inchie is (lord knows I didn't until very recently), an inchie is a 1 x 1 inch piece of cardboard or chipboard decorated however you want. I really enjoyed making these, as they are simple and quick, and you don't have to think too hard about them. For me they are just a bit of fun to be had. My inchies are very simple compared to some of them out there, but i still think they turned out okay. I hope the recipient likes them too.

In this layout, i did some hand stitching, some embossing and some stamping. I also scrunched up so paper and used some Tim Holtz Distress ink, to make some vintage looking paper. Below is a better view of the journalling and stitching on the layout.

So here is my first little beach babe Kayla:
and of course my second little beach babe Emily, this photo features in one of my CBB cybercrop layouts:
