Pazzles Play

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. Much of our weekend was spent lying around just relaxing. Mainly due to the fact that both of our precious poppets have been sick and I didn't mind just relaxing either. We were a little worried about Kayla last night, we had been struggling to keep her temperature down, then it finally reached a point of 39.5.

We were undecided if we should go to the hospital and sit around in emergency for hours, or just keep an eye on her by making her a bed next to ours. Because she was still lucid and didn't appear to be in any real discomfort we decided to just keep her in our room. I don't think I slept much and she must have gotten sick of me feeling her forehead, but finally around 3am this morning her temperature started dropping. Today she is a bit tired but back to her cheeky talkative self (thank goodness).

With a little bit of spare time yesterday I had a play with my Pazzles Inspiration. I have has this machine sitting on my desk for some time and have not really done much with it. After trying it a few times when I first got it I felt like it hated me and didn't want to do what I asked of it. So I decided yesterday that it was about time to give it another go, and I will admit that I am now in love with it. I just want to keep on cutting lol.

Here are a couple of little gift boxes I have made so far using Webster's Pages. They are going to hold some Easter goodness for Kayla's teacher and Principal.

This one is for Kayla's principal, she is the sweetest principal ever

and this one is for Kayla's teacher Mr Munro (I tried to avoid lace and flowers in his)

I altered the template in the software slightly to add a circle window and scalloped frame.
The machine even perforates the lines for you so they are easy to fold, how cool is that! I am totally smitten with this machine now, I think we have both put our differences aside. So expect some more Pazzles creations in the near future lol.

Anyway that is it from me today. May your week be filled with sunshine and smiles.

A little bit altered

Good morning everyone.

I am posting early this morning. Kayla is lying on the couch sick, so there will be no school for her today. There must be a little bug going around (I guess there usually is this time of year), because a lot of other little ones have been away from school these past few days as well. I know when she is sick, because she isn't such a little chatterbox. Poor baby.

I have been getting back into the crafting mood again lately. It disappeared for a little while but I am glad to say it is back now (yay). So the other night when I had an hour or two to spare I made this little altered tin for the March Challenge over at Webster's pages.

It holds some little journal spots that I made using offcuts from various ranges of Webster's pages. Here is a top view of the tin

I quite like the way this turned out, I may just have to make another one :)

I hope this week has treated you well. I can't believe the Easter Bunny comes next weekend. This little Easter Bunny had better get a wriggle on and start getting organized lol.

Proud Mummy

I sit here today a very proud Mummy. Kayla received an award at her school assembly this morning which I was thrilled to see. She received it for being confident, having a positive attitude, getting along with others and being persistent. She got a cute little certificate and a voucher for the canteen. She was very excited! Also on the weekend was the Charny Carny a school fundraiser. There was a competition for the children to make a pig and Kayla wanted to give it a go. Here is her gorgeous little creation called Rose the pig.

Kayla made most of it herself I just guided her when it came to covering the pig in newspaper before she painted it. I thought she was just going to make a simple pig, but when it came to painting she decided it also needed mud on her feet. So she painted mud. Then Kayla decided the pig couldn't be a nudey rudey and she wanted a skirt for it. So she used a muffin case as the skirt. Then Rose needed a bow which Kayla glued into place. She even curled the little piggy tail before adding it. I was so proud of her end result. She took her time (something she is learning at school) and the piggy turned out fabulous...don't you think.

I have also done a little bit of creating lately, although nowhere near as gorgeous as Kayla's creations. First is a little door hanging I have made for Emily's bedroom using the very cute Kaisercraft mini-stamps. I love these new stamps they are so versatile, great for layouts and cards alike.

And here is a layout I made on the weekend using Webster's pages. This is one of my favourite photos from last Christmas.

Well that is all from me today( I really just wanted to jump on and share Kayla's exciting achievement). I hope you are all well and thanks for stopping by.

Take care

A Kaisercraft Day

Hi everyone.

Today I thought I would share with you the rest of my Kaisercraft projects from Q3. I have said it before, but I think I will say it again that I absolutely loved this Q3 collection. Gorgeous ranges and embellies, I can't seem to get enough of them lol. Here are a couple of cards using Devonshire and La Di DaNext up is the cute memo block made with Devonshire. I love this little memo block. They are so simple to make that they would be great last minute gifts!

Here is a layout using Peachy Keen. I love, love, love these papers but I wasn't really thrilled with the way this layout turned out so I might add something to it later. Then again maybe it is just because there is a photo of me on it lol.

Finally is the Kaisercraft journal. Every girl needs a journal/notebook of some description so I was thrilled when Kaisercraft released this sweet journal. I have used the bold colours of Gypsy Sisters on mine. I love the way this tuned out.

I haven't really got much else to report, we have been just having loads of family time which is so lovely. Kayla is learning so much at school I am so pleased with how far she has come in just the few weeks she has been there. She is learning Japanese and her reading is coming along in leaps and bounds. She loves reading to me at night time now and if I do read to her then I must be careful not to read any words she know or else I am in trouble :) Her teacher has been sick this week and she is missing him a little bit. She made him a cute little get well card which was very sweet.

Well that's about it from me today. I hope you are all well and happy.
Take care.

My Family

Good morning!

Two posts in two days, wow that must be a record of late lol. Anyway I just thought I would pop on this morning to share with you a little BTP that I have made for Kaisercraft. It uses the fantastic new photo display that was released in Q3. At first I wasn't quite sure how I was going to approach it, but I ended up deciding on doing some little snapshots of my wonderful family.

I used the stunning Devonshire collection (one of my new favourites) to create it, don't you just love the colours of it. I absolutely love the way this turned out, if I get a chance I will try and get some more detail photos of it.

Anyway I just thought I would would pop in and share this with you.
I hope you all have a great day.

A little catch up

Wow have these past few weeks flown by. I find that I am having so much fun watching Kayla blossom at school that everything else is getting left behind. However i have had the chance lately to do some scrapbooking and a few other bits and pieces so I thought today I would have a little catchup.
This week on the Kaisercraft blog the very talented Tanya Tahir and myself will be posting our Q3 projects daily. If you haven't had a chance to pop over there be sure to stop by and say hi. Here are a few layouts that I can show you now.

This first layout uses the very fun La Di Da collection. Tanya and I decided it would be fun to create a shaped layout, so I was inspired at the time by Miss Kayla's wobbly tooth (which I am now proud to announce has finally fallen out).

This next layout uses the lovely Gypsy Sisters collection. You may recognize this photo from earlier posts, it is one of my favourites.

This final layout uses the absolutely gorgeous (one of my favourite ranges ever) Devonshire collection. I love all the embellishments and papers in this colloection, i can't stop drooling over it.

I also have a BTP to share, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

So until then, thanks for stopping by.
Take care
