Scrap Happy!

Oh my goodness!! Today I was in such a scrap happy mood. It was all due to Friday Night Live over at Kim Archer workshops@home. How could you not be inspired!!! I surprised myself and managed to get all three of the challenges done (yay me). This ability and freedom to scrap was due to our little poppets spending much of their time in the backyard. I guess after being couped up inside with a cold all week, the fresh air and sunshine must have felt wonderful to them. They are loving the swing set Nanna and Poppy bought them and spend most of their time playing on it. They will have another thing to play on hopefully by the end of the week...but more on that in a minute.

So for my scrappy shares:
Challenge 1 was to create a 6x6 layout of ourself

Challenge 2 was to create a layout using scraps, fabric, a tag, two types of alphas, yellow and a handmade flower

Challenge 3 was to scraplift a layout from one of the very talented support team members.
I chose to scraplift a layout of Sheree's.

So it was a very productive weekend. It felt wonderful!!!

As I mentioned earlier the girls will be getting something else to play on by the end of the week. Nothing too exciting, just a trampoline. But the girls have wanted one for a little while and we thought it would be a great way to combat Miss Emily's persistence in jumping on the couch cushions. The real clincher in buying it though was for Kayla. She has constantly battled with walking on her tip toes.

So we have started seeing a physiotherapist, who told us her tendons are shorter which is causing her ankles to roll in when she does try and walk with a heel-toe gait. She also has low muscular tone through the rest of her legs. For the time being we have plenty of stretches to do with her, and she has also been given some orthotics to correct her feet rolling in. We continue on this path for 2 months and then we head back and re-measure. There is a possibility that we will have to do serial casting to help her further, but we will cross that bridge when we get there.

Anyway we thought that a trampoline may be a way to help improve Kayla's muscle tone in her legs, along with being a great energy burner and a lot of fun. So hopefully that will arrive later this week....but shhhhhh don't tell the girls it is going to be a surprise:)

So how has your weekend been. Fantastic I hope.
Take care
